"Monday Musings #1" (New Segment)

Today we start a new segment called “Monday Musings” because I have no imagination and can't think of a better title for it. Let’s do it.
"Monday Musings #1" (New Segment)

I’m starting a new segment today called “Monday Musings.” The basic idea is this, I find great resources such as books, movies, music, websites, etc., and compile them in a blogpost like this. You then get to (hopefully) enjoy them and become aware of some awesome resources that perhaps you were not aware of. This is just an informal way to keep things fresh and enjoyable for you the reader. We’ll add some more stuff in and give some variety. That way, its not just me blabbing on and on with no end in sight. Hopefully the format will look a little bit like this.

Daily Resources

“Morning & Evening” by Charles Spurgeon - (This is an amazing devotional resource. I cannot recommend it enough.)

“The Good King” by Ghost Ship - (Their music is God-glorifying, Christ-exalting and Scripture driven. The tracks “Where Were You” and “Son of David” never cease to bring me to tears. I cannot recommend these guys enough. They are the real deal)

Quote Of The Week

“Grow in the root of all grace, which is faith. Believe God's promises more firmly than ever. Allow your faith to increase in its fullness, firmness, and simplicity.” - Charles Spurgeon

Verse Of The Week

Romans 8:37-39 “No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

Thought Of The Week

It is truly amazing that, with all our struggles and unfaithfulness, Christ always remains faithful and never leaves us. There is nothing, not sin, Satan or death itself that is able to take us out of the protection and love of Christ. This is a testimony to His faithfulness, not our. We fall and are broken, Christ is the sustainer and fulfillment of our faith. Though our hands slip and we lose our grip, Christ never loses us. He hold fast with His strength. We are blessed to have such a savior. One that, no matter what, will never let us go.

Hopefully you enjoyed this little diversion from the norm. I would like to make this kind of a regular thing for Mondays. I figure Mondays are boring enough for us, let’s get some variety in the mix and do something interesting. If you like it, leave some thought in the comments sections of what you liked, what you didn’t like and perhaps some ideas for other things you would like to see included. Happy Monday all!
