Make War (Part 3)
There is no enemy the Christian faces that is more deadly than their own sinful flesh. It is the most dangerous and has the greatest potential to destroy. This enemy must be fought at all costs. It stands and mocks our Savior.
The Calvinist (By John Piper)
This is a fantastic video from John Piper. This is just what I need heading into a full week (Especially Easter week) becasue it points me to Christ and all I have in Him. Please enjoy!
The Perseverance Of The Saints
The “P” in TULIP is one of the most comforting truths in all of Scripture. Within it we find the peace that comes from God holding onto us even when we fall. It’s the culmination of Calvinism and the security of the Gospel.
The fourth point of Calvinism is perhaps just as divisive as the third because it gets to the heart of why many people have a problem with the Calvinistic theology. It says man is dead and God is sovereign. The natural man struggles with this, but believe me, it’s better this way.
Out of all the five points, none makes someone a “four pointer” quicker than the doctrine of limited atonement. But I think there is no doctrine that showcases God’s incredible love more than this one.
Perhaps the most incredible truth in the world could be summed up in the sentence “God chose us.” The doctrine of unconditional election is perhaps the clearest point that drives home the Gospel and gives God all the glory.
